Built with high-quality materials, Goalrilla in-ground basketball hoops are designed for durability and superior performance, backed by industry-leading warranties. These premium hoops deliver the same experience as professional goals used in NCAA and NBA games, making them the top choice for serious players and families alike.
72” Backboard
Designed for pro-level play, the 72” hoop delivers NCAA and NBA performance, perfect for full-court home basketball.
60” Backboard
Versatile and durable, the 60” hoop offers premium quality, ideal for various outdoor spaces and all skill levels.
54” - 50” Backboard
Great for smaller driveways, the 54” and 50” hoops provide excellent play while maximizing space for movement and performance.
In-Ground Basketball Hoops
Pro-Level Performance for Your Home
For the ultimate basketball experience, in-ground hoops provide unmatched stability and performance, closely replicating the feel of NCAA and NBA goals. Featuring tempered glass backboards for authentic rebounds and steel poles secured in concrete, these hoops are built for serious play and long-term durability.
Built for Durability & Stability
Unlike portable systems, in-ground basketball hoops are anchored directly into concrete, eliminating the risk of tipping—especially during aggressive play and dunks. The powder-coated steel pole provides exceptional stability, ensuring consistent performance for years to come.
Professional-Grade Performance
Most in-ground hoops feature tempered glass backboards, delivering the same responsive rebound found in professional settings. Designed with premium materials, Goalrilla in-ground basketball goals are backed by an industry-leading warranty, making them a long-lasting investment for your family.
Enhance Your Home & Play Space
Beyond performance, an in-ground basketball hoop adds value and curb appeal to your home. Many homeowners view it as an investment that enhances outdoor spaces while promoting active play.
Take It With You
Worried about moving? Many Goalrilla in-ground hoops are installed with an anchor system, allowing you to unbolt and relocate the hoop to your new home. Simply purchase a new anchor kit, reinstall, and keep playing without missing a beat.
When selecting a basketball hoop, consider the following factors:
Location: Ensure you have adequate playing space, ideally a flat driveway or a dedicated court. A minimum of 10 feet of concrete in front of the goal is recommended, with 15 feet being ideal for free-throw practice.
Frequency of Use: If the hoop will be used frequently or for intense play, opt for durable materials like tempered glass backboards and breakaway rims to withstand wear and tear.
Age of Players: Adjustable-height hoops are ideal for families with children, allowing the goal to grow with them.
Budget: Determine your budget, keeping in mind that higher-quality hoops may have a higher upfront cost but offer greater durability and performance.
In-Ground Hoops: These are installed directly into the ground with concrete, offering superior stability and performance. They often feature tempered glass backboards for authentic rebounds.
Portable Hoops: These have a base filled with water or sand and can be moved as needed. They are less stable than in-ground hoops and typically have plastic backboards.
Wall-Mounted Hoops: Ideal for limited spaces, these hoops are mounted directly onto a wall or structure, eliminating the need for a pole and base.
Backboard material and size significantly impact playability:
Material: Tempered glass backboards provide the best rebound performance and are used in professional settings. Acrylic and polycarbonate are more affordable alternatives but offer less authentic rebounds.
Size: Regulation backboards are 72 inches wide, but sizes can range from 50 to 72 inches. Larger backboards offer more shooting space and a professional feel but require more space and a higher budget.
Overhang is the distance from the pole to the backboard. It allows for play under the basket without the risk of players hitting the pole. An overhang of 2 to 4 feet is ideal for safety and performance. Too much overhang can reduce court space and cause excessive shaking.
Height adjustability allows the hoop to accommodate players of all ages and skill levels. Lowering the rim height enables younger players to develop proper shooting techniques and enjoy the game. Most adjustable hoops range from 7.5 to 10 feet.
Breakaway Rims: These rims have a spring mechanism that allows them to flex under pressure, reducing the risk of injury and damage during dunks. They are standard in professional and collegiate play.
Static Rims: These do not flex and are less suitable for aggressive play. They are typically found on lower-end hoops and are not recommended for dunking.
